When connecting the pocket memo digital dictation recorder (DPM) on the client where the Footprint Application is installed, the DPM connect Systray Symbol says: "DPM connected, download in progress", but after approx. 1 sec you get the error message "Error in communication with the license server".
On the License Manager side you see that a license has been aquired, but does not get released again.
This situation can occur if the License Gateway and the License Server are not of the same build.
Make sure that both the License Gateway and the License Server carry the same build.
To check this, browse through the list of installed applications in "Add/Remove Programs" from within your "Control Panel" of the Windows OS. For both mentioned applications above, check the version and build info from the "Support Information" link.
