When trying to open SpeechControl for Mac, following error might occur:
- "SpeechControl" can't be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software.
- Apple could not verify "SpeechControl" is free of malware that may harm your Mac or compromise your privacy.
To resolve this issue you have to make some adjustments in the Security settings of the Mac:
- Open System Preferences and select Security & Privacy.
- Click on Open Anyway next to "SpeechControl" was blocked from use because it is not from an identified developer.
- Click on Open to start SpeechControl.
On macOS 13.x and later, System Preferences has been renamed to System Settings. If you're using a version higher than macOS 13.0, please follow the steps below:
- Open System Settings and scroll down to Privacy & Security
- On the main page scroll down to the Security section and click on Open Anyway next to "SpeechControl" was blocked to protect your Mac.
- Click on Open Anyway to start SpeechControl. In some cases you need to confirm by entering your login credentials.
