Issue
There is a significant problem occurring with the SpeechExec Enterprise License Server Service. Specifically, this service is unable to initiate successfully when you attempt to start it by right-clicking and selecting the "Start" option. Additionally, even when the service is configured for an "Automatic (Delayed)" startup behavior, it still fails to launch as intended. This situation can lead to various complications, particularly for users who rely on the SpeechExec system for their operations, as the inability to start the license server may hinder access to essential features and functionalities.
When you try to initiate the service, you might encounter one of the following error messages:
Resolution:
To resolve the issue you are experiencing, it is important to first verify whether there is a file named SpeechExec.Enterprise.local located in the directory where the License Server has been installed. This file is crucial for the proper functioning of the License Server, and its presence or absence can significantly impact the performance and accessibility of the services it provides. If you find that the file is missing, you may need to reinstall or repair the License Server to restore the necessary files. Conversely, if the file is present, you should ensure that it is not corrupted or improperly configured, as this could also lead to issues with the License Server's operation.
Default location: C:\Program Files (x86)\Philips Speech\SpeechExec Enterprise License Server
Rename the file and restart the license server service.
If that is working you need to Import the License file (*.seelic) once again to get this info back. This is also a way to restore if e.g. you forgot the License Server Password - but you need the .seelic file.
