Description :
SEE Enterprise Manager displays an error that the Temp folder is not accessible, after login or when opening System Administration:
"Could not find a part of the path 'C:\Users\...'."
Also, trying to open the %TEMP% folder in Windows explorer shows the following error:
"Windows can't find 'C:\Users\... . Check the spelling and try again."
Troubleshooting :
Method 1: Disable Storage Sense (if Storage Sense is enabled)
- Go to Start > Settings > System > Storage.
- Turn off Storage Sense.
- Exit Settings.
Method 2: Disable Storage Sense by using Group Policy (Windows Server 2022 only)
- Open Group Policy Editor. Select Start > Run, type gpedit.msc, and select OK.
- Locate the following policy:
- Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > System > Storage Sense
- Edit the Allow Storage Sense policy to Disabled.
- Close Group Policy Editor.
After Switching off Storage Sense
Switching off Storage Sense doesn’t immediately solve the problem.
- the same error messages were displayed in EM
- the same error message was displayed in Windows explorer
But after restarting the VM everything was working fine again:
- the %TEMP% path became accessible again
- EM was running properly without showing errors
