If you do not want to disable or cannot configure the Virtual Channel Allow List, or if it is not possible to install the Philips Client Extensions, you can use USB redirection for Philips hardware. Depending on your Citrix Virtual Delivery Agent (VDA) version, you can achieve device splitting (recommended by Citrix) in two different ways.
- Apply policies on the client (all VDA versions)
- Apply policies on the host (VDA version 2212 and newer)
Following is a guideline how to implement these settings based on your VDA version
- Create a policy to allow client audio/microphone redirection
- Create a policy to allow USB redirection for specific devices
- Automatic device splitting
Create a policy to allow client audio/microphone redirection
Open Citrix Studio
- Select Policies -> Create Policy
- Select Client audio redirection - Allowed
- Select Client microphone redirection - Allowed
- Assign policy to required machines, give it a name, save, and enable it

- Add Following values (one per line) and click Save
ALLOW: VID=0911 PID=0C1CALLOW: VID=0911 PID=0C1D - Assign policy to required machines, give it a name, save, and enable it

Configure automatic device splitting on the client end point (applies to all VDA versions)
There are two ways to achieve this. In a domain-managed environment, use central group policies to deploy to multiple clients, or apply per client. The following steps cover the per-client setup. If you have installed the 64-bit Citrix Workspace App, the source path for default installations changes from C:\Program Files (x86)\ to C:\Program Files\
- Copy the CitrixBase.admx and receiver.admx files from
C:\Program Files (x86)\Citrix\ICA Client\Configuration\toC:\Windows\PolicyDefinitions\ - Copy the CitrixBase.adml and receiver.adml files from
C:\Program Files (x86)\Citrix\ICA Client\Configuration\en-US\toC:\Windows\PolicyDefinitions\en-US\ - Press 🪟(Windows Key) + R, enter gpedit.msc and press Enter
- Browse to Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\Citrix Components\Citrix Workspace\Remoting client devices\Generic USB Remoting
- Double-click USB Device Rules - Enabled, add following value, and click OK
Connect: VID=0911 PID=0c1c split=1 intf=04;Connect: VID=0911 PID=0c1d split=1 intf=04 - Double-click Existing USB Devices - Enabled, select Connect all available USB devices, and click OK
- Double-click New USB Devices - Enabled, select Connect the USB device, and click OK
- Close the policy editor
