When using the speech recognition feature with SpeechLive and SpeechExec Pro Transcribe, typists find that when opening the speech recognized dictations from SpeechLive in SpeechExec, the cursor does not move during playback and the words are not highlighted. If a typist stops playback, the dictation plays back from the beginning.
Please note the option to highlight the text during playback is not available with this feature.
However, to prevent the audio file from always starting at the beginning there is a workaround. SpeechExec Pro Transcribe can be configured to use traditional transcription workflow.
Please see steps below:
First you will need to check the SpeechLive account settings to make sure that Speech to text is configured so that the dictation state is Correction Pending. (see below)
Now configure SpeechExec Pro Transcribe settings as follows:
General Settings>Dictation>Document link. Setting must be set to Automatically open the linked document when opening a dictation
General Settings>Speech Recognition>Correction settings. Correction workflow settings must be set to Use transcription workflow for dictation files in <Correction pending> state
Note: you will see options under the Correction settings node for highlighting words on playback. This setting does not apply in the case of SpeechLive speech recognized dictations.
Click Apply and Ok to save your changes.
Now when the typist opens the dictation the SpeechExec Player bar will appear, along with the recognized text. The dictation audio will playback from where the typist left off.
